Can someone tell me what is happening. These are LED Christmas lights. When recording at 240FPS of course they flicker that’s fine. But I am not even recording and the camera turns off the lights so to speak, but as you can see they are clearly on. The weird thing is even any reflection of light underneath is gone as if they are actually turned off. I know it’s not some glitch just trying to see if anyone on these forums can explain the science behind it.

Thanks

maybe trying to focus on such an intense light, lowers the cameras exposure setting very low. it only happens when you attempt to force the phone to focus directly on the bright light. does it happen when you do that from further away?
