Space Gray iPad Air 2 with a project red Smart Cover. I'm really conflicted if I should go with a smart case or cover. I had a smart case with my former rMini and I mostly liked it. I like the idea of the smart cover being lighter and easier to remove. I'm just a little paranoid about going bare backed.

Very blingy. Nice! Now you have to get a gold tooth to match it.
I already have a Gold iPhone 6 Plus, gold eyebrow piercing, and a pair of gold beats by dr. Dre. A Gold tooth is the obvious next step.

I got a skin for the back of my iPad 4 and it did an excellent job of protecting against scratches. I'll be picking one up for my Air 2 as soon as the makers have them (since Apple changed the switch setup on the side, the existing skins don't line up properly).

Space grey with black Smart Cover. My air 2 Smart Cover is more like dark grey. I compared it to wife's air 1 black Smart Cover. Anyone else notice the color difference?
What are people's opinions regarding the smart case? I've always been a fan of the speck folio case but I don't know how long that will take to come in stock yet it's hard for me to drop $80 on just a normal case, especially since I'll like the stand functionality less (but I rarely use that).
I received my Air 2 yesterday, and my black Smart Cover. When I took the Smart Cover out of the packaging, I immediately thought that they sent me the wrong one since it looks like a dark grey. The Smart Cover that came with the original Air was definitely a black. This is more of a dark grey, and not black. I had to make sure that Apple didn't sell a dark grey Smart Cover, perhaps they put the wrong color in this packaging. But Apple only offers, black, white, and the other colors. I guess this is Apple's new interpretation of black. What do you guys think?
Thanks for verifying. I don't like the "new black" one. I'm returning it since the black Air 1 Smart Cover fits the Air 2 fine.
I ordered a 64 GB Space Gray LTE Air 2, I have a product RED Smart Cover to go with it, but I might get a RED Smart Case. Undecided, but either will match my Space Gray iPhone 6 with its RED silicone case. Hopefully the Space Gray Apple Watch Sport comes with a RED strap option!

Just came back from the Apple Store. I returned my "black" Smart Cover for the Product Red, and I love it. I've always had black iPads with black covers, so it's a nice change.
