I'm upgrading from a 4S. The new iPhone is almost inconsequential since I'd been intending to switch from AT&T to Verizon anyway. AT&T still doesn't offer LTE in my area while Verizon does. And in most places I visit, the Verizon signal is stronger.

Upgrading from a July 2007 8gb 2G to a black 64gb ip5. This will be a major upgrade for me, to say the least.

My 2G still works. However, recently many of the apps have gone unsupported. For instance, the mobile banking apps don't work anymore.

upgrading from a slow, dying 3gs. it won't even go on silent anymore, and it's pretty laggy to say the least (i timed 7 seconds from opening camera app to being able to take a picture ). getting a 64gb black 5, super excited.

i had an iphone 3g 3 years ago but it got stolen so I'm using a cheap android right now which got brain dead 2 weeks ago... so I'm not upgrading from anything i just need a phone and because i really like iphones, and have a macbook so they kind of compliment each-other.
i cant wait for my order to arrive

I saw a guy in line at Best Buy with an orginal iPhone. I wish I had that kind of sales resistance but I'm coming from a 4S.
