what iPod case should I get?

My computer wasnt recognising my iPod it so I sent it out to get repaired, and when I got my ordinary box back in, it had a brand nwe iPod in plastic. I started to resent my old one because the case I had scratched it, but now that I have a new one, I can start over. What case should I get so the screen and especially the back wont scratch? Its a 3rd gen 10 gb iPod.

depends on what you're looking for. for full protection, Marware makes a nice line of padded cases with arm straps, belt clips, etc.

my favorite ipod case is the PodSleevz from RadTech. it's a super-thin fabric sleeve that just keeps your iPod from getting scratched and dirty. it offers no protection should you drop your iPod or bump it on something, though.

but as my iPod usually resides somewhere where it won't get dropped or banged, i don't necessarily need a thick, padded case -- which is why i like the PodSleev, since it adds no bulk.

If you're looking for a simple case just to give it some bit of padding against bumps and knocks and to completely stop scratches, I would go with www.Lajo.biz hands down. And if you want to prevent scratches on the screen, get a screen protector too.

Unless you're worried about selling the thing on ebay some day, live with the scratches.

I got a green mini for the size and the last thing I'd want to do is make it bigger with a case on it. It's not a piece of jewelry, it's a glorified Walkman. Just don't put it in the same pocket with roofing nails and you'll be fine.

get one of those clear plastic films that you can put on your ipod. a case usually adds unnecessary girth.

If you really want to keep your iPod safe, there is no better case than those by Contour . I switched to one after other cases left my iPod's screen exposed to scratching. I've never looked back.

As for comments about adding bulk, I say that I invested a helluva lot of money on my iPod and I want to protect it. If my iPod is a glorified walkman, than my Mac is a glorified typewriter. I don't let that get scratched, either.

Will an iPod fit in the Marware case while still in the PodSleev?
