Hi

Does anyone know of any good audio recording applications? Preferably one where I can hear myself, so when I speak through my mic I hear myself through my headphones.

Thanks.

Once apoun a time I used a program called Cool Edit Pro to do what your talking about, input, edit, and what not...but now most people go with Adobe Audi. It's basically the same thing.

I will warn you that as capable as Mac's are for editing sound stuff, the real qaulity problem you face is going to be from source INTO the Mac. Make sure everything sounds good before you start to edit; if you working with hardware you might have to record source digitally and then import to Audi for editing.

EDIT: I just found this wiki file that says Cool Edit was bought by adobe...fun stuff!

That's true (about the App Store).

Also, when I wrote "simple" I meant that I've been doing simple tasks with it.

It's definitely not a "simple audio editor."

Thanks for the responses guys. Do you know if there are any which will let me record both system audio and mic audio at the same time?
