What is "Add to Favorites" (Cmd+Shift+T) ?

What is "Add to Favorites" (Cmd+Shift+T) when using Finder ?
- I could not find out this one, must be some kind of bookmarking.

yes thanks, I found it just before, this time Mac Help helped me:
"To find the Favorites folder:
Open the Library folder in your home folder."

I cant believe after two years of using mac there are still things I didnt figure out.
