Update: I have now confirmed with F-Secure that it is a part of F-Secure Online Backup . No worries.

Hello,

I have recently found two suspicious files that I cannot find any information about.

I wouldn't have given them a second thought unless they were located in /Library/StartupItems/. I like to know what is running on my mac so I simply googled them, but i found 0 hits. So I try here instead.

In the folder /Library/StartupItems/AGMacFSWatcher/ are two files, one application AGMacFSWatcher and one "StartupParameters.plist" that contains the following.

Code:
{
  Description     = "Steek FileSystem Watcher Service";
  Provides        = ("AGMacFSWatcher");
  Uses            = ("root");
  OrderPreference = "First";
}

This makes me believe that it is part of F-Secure Online Backup that I tried a while ago, as Steek is a company they have worked with and recently aquired.

Could somebody check if they have those files and report if they have them and if they have run f-secure online backup.

Thanks
