Why are people talking about SpaceOS being future of computing.

Everyone talks about Windows, MacOS and Linux but there talk about new OS called Space OS talks of future computing a OS that does not use Icons and border Windows but workspaces with no end. And some talk about Space OS bringing cloud services running in the computer than some cloud service.

There seems to be push of digital ownership of the app and data by Space OS unlike todays model of you own nothing and be happy.

Space OS is trying to bring back the personal computer — this time in the cloud

The startup Deta wants to bring back software ownership and personal privacy without losing all the things that make the cloud era great.

It seems to be more Google service thing but stored local and ownership of set data and apps unlike todays model.

It not free or but seems semi open source it seems very different windows and Google model of you pay rent to use set app and data tied to set app. It seems to be sorta like Google Crome OS but you own the data and app and the data and app stays on the device even even project closes and the online app get shut down you can still use it.
