I have Tetherme installed on my iPhone 4S and I'm just wondering, what is the use that? It's under Cellular Network.

Access Point Name (APN) is a computer protocol that typically allows a user's computer to access the Internet using the mobile phone network.

Don't play with it until you really know what you do; for example in Japan choosing the wrong APN can get you huge monthly bills as the flat rate might not work and you need to pay each packet. That sums up.
Not sure in your country/contract; but just as a warning.
