When Apple finally puts Thunderbolt 3 on their macs, how will we connect our "old" Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2 devices? Do you think they will just release a simple adapter? Or do you think they will leave TB2 ports on their, and just ADD TB3/USB C ports? I have to assume an adapter is possible to make, as surely they couldn't make our TB and TB2 devices obsolete so soon. Pretty basic question, I know, but I'm trying to plan some future purchases.

I am sure there will be an adapter but at the moment with only raid storage systems, eGPU's and 5K screens being able to benefit from the increased bandwidth it's going to be a year or two before TB3 matters.
