hey all,

My new macbook (so excited!) was dispatched on the 23rd oct. today I finally got my 10 digit tracking number. however, the assigned carrier is "UK distribution center".

How do I track it? Is that UPS, Parcelforce, TNT etc I've tried all the ones i know and still no luck.

My status has just changed. The assigned tracker is TNT, and I've got a carrier tracking number!

Let us know when your machine arrives. I too ordered a new MacBook, dispatched 25th October. The Apple Order Status page has only just given me a tracking number in the last 3 hours (9 days after it was originally dispatched).

Original ETA was Friday 31st October, but it isn't here yet. It doesn't give me a courier either, but checking the UPS and TNT tracking pages keeps giving "not found" on anything I try.

This thing is late and the tracking is awful!! It told me 5-7 days once dispatched max...

Hi all,
I'm the same. Ordered on 16th, status said shipped on 26th and estimated delivery on 31st Oct local time even though original delivery date was 4th-5th Nov.

I now have a 10 digit carrier number with UK DISTRIBUTION CENTER. I've tried this will all delivery firms I can think of and it works with TNT as discussed earlier.
What you need to do is make sure you have selected the "Track - International" tab from the top of the TRACK PACKAGE box, by default it is set to "Track - National". Then enter your 10 digit number and select "Consignment" and click on the "Track" button.
Hopefully this should recognise your parcel. If it doesn't, wait a few hours, maybe the details haven't been updated yet.
Mine says that the package has been collected but there's no delivery date. I hope it's tomorrow ...

Yesterday night my "80xx..." changed to a "7x..." number and the "UK Distribution Centre" changed to "TNT".

This new tracking number then worked on the TNT site but gave the status of "Please Call Us"...making me think something was wrong. I rang them up and the woman told me it had arrived today and would be shipped to me tomorrow (now today!)...so I'm expecting it to arrive in the next few hours hopefully!

Tracking page now says it was sent out for delivery from the LEICESTER depot (for me in the Midlands currently anyway) at 6.22 am.

The Apple Order Status Page has now also updated again this morning with the same information as the TNT page...better late than never I guess but not exactly a useful tool!

Adam, sounds like you made a Configure to Order change to the spec of the Macbook Pro. Looking at the website and what you paid, you probably upgraded the HD. Anyway... this means it has to be made in China to your specification and then shipped to the UK. The website states shipping in 1 - 3 days, NOT delivery. I am assuming at no point that you have contacted Apple to ask where it is, before ranting on a public forum and clearly not understanding what's going on. I ordered a 17" MacBook Pro. I wondered where it was, so I did what most people would do, I phoned Apple. Apple gave me a £50 credit for my trouble and told me exactly what was happening and why.

Yes, the process could be more informative, yes it could be improved, but seriously... does it deserve a rant like yours? No, not in my opinion. I expect my laptop sometime in the coming week and I'm very happy with the customer service I have received from Apple.

Tracking???

Hi all, I ordered my macbookpro 15" on 23rd feb and it was shipped on 28th. I have received my 10 digit carrier tracking number, but have the carrier as "Uk distribution centre". I tried ups , TNT and royal mail. Everywhere it says not found. Any idea as to where I should look for it??

A year on and the process is still as poor as it was when Adam complained. What's the point in providing account tracking pages if the information isn't updated?

My order is still floating about somewhere, I have no idea when it will be delivered, although I have an estimated date of 24th March (ordered on 24th Feb). Called apple because their account web pages were down for 5 hours, they couldn't help at that time (they had the same issue and no token gesture). After the 5 hours apple took down the account pages because they were adding ipad 2 - substandard imho.

To me shortly means today, maybe in a few hours; still waiting after more than 7 days. I have to agree with Adam it's atrocious. It doesn't surprise me at all that people queue up outside apple stores; they've clearly experienced how badly apple handle online orders.

Suffice to say, they'll get poor feedback from me and I will never order online with apple again.

Ive just got mine as UPS now and its coming to the UK aswell.

Hi,
I the status in my tracking page has just changed from "UK Distribution Centre" to "UPS" and the 10 digit tracking number has now changed to a 18 digit code to track from UPS. when I enter the code in the UPS website, I am getting a message as "A label for this shipment has been created, but UPS does not yet have possession of this shipment. Once we receive the shipment, the tracking status will be updated." . My estimated delivery date is 11/03/2011, and now it has been changed to 08/03/2011, so hopefully I get my MacBook Pro tomorrow .. :p

The exact same thing has happened to me aswell.

It looks like there will be a lot of happy people in the UK tomorrow.

Hi All,

I have just recieved my new Mac Book Pro. UPS directly delivered it to my office ... I thought i would have to wait till 5 to get the parcel... now im glad.... after a 2 week looooooooooooggggggggggg wait... :p

Quick question regarding individuals who have recently ordered and received MBP's.

When it was delivered, did the UPS/TNT box say that delivery to a neighbour was not allowed? I remember that my iPhone 4 box from UPS did state that.

had mine delivered 31/12/10 - the dude came 0930am.. i was hung over so selpt thro' the door bells,

they left card and i called them back at 11 and begged if they could deliver before NY. They re-delivered 1630, i did not notice anything stating do not deliver to neighbours - but then again, he could of left it with the neighbours if he wanted to, as the old bint is always in...
however, i really can't see UPS doin this with a mac... royal mail -definately

Mines just changed to UK distribution centre but it also says:

Current Delivery Status --- Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date

Which is the 7th April.. over a week away! i think my problem is though that i ordered some software at the same time as my MBP which they will now merge into one shipment for my convenience.

My convenience would just be for them to hurry up and get it to me, in two different orders if thats quicker.

....... I dont want to wait another week plus when it looks like its in the uk and i could drive to pick it up :(
