What is Apples procedure on screen replacement

On my 13 with the coating issue, seems like on the 1st repair, they just replaced the display and left the top cover alone..

Anyhow, mine started peeling after 4 months. Just got it back and it's whole new *top cover/display*

They didn't. The display is not replaceable without replacing the top cover.

LOL. So what do you suppose happened on the 1st repair. They somehow chemically removed the coating and resprayed it while the screen was still on ;-)

Dunno, but I could have sworn the top was the the ~original~ one when I got it back

Unless you had stickers on it or something, it wasn't.
