I have a mid-2012 MBP, running Catalina. A few weeks ago, the attached message box began popping up randomly, mainly when I open the laptop. I’ve tried Googling this issue and came up empty. Can anyone shed some light on it?

A web search gives plenty results that indicate this is adware.

You should try Malwarebytes or DetectX to see if an automated removal is possible. If not, you might want to download EtreCheck to see if there are any persistent components (you can attach the report here for others to help you look).

Thanks for the quick response. I found some results on Aristotle Search, but nothing specifically on AristotleLookup. Stupid question, I know. I’ll try your recommendations right now and see if I have any luck.

Update: seems like Malwarebytes was able to resolve the issue. Thanks again!
