It's the name that AT&T gives to the customer accounts who they don't care as much about. You pay less, so they treat you like less. That's why I ordered from Apple.com instead of AT&T this go-around.

I've always gotten much better customer service from business care than reg customer service. They've always waived activation, upgrade fees etc. by just asking.

But I still order my phones directly from Apple;)

A business account, or AT&T premiere account? Premiere is for the employees of businesses buying their own phones with as much as a 30% discount (that I've seen at least). I can see them being better with business accounts because they can account for thousands of people using AT&T. But from my experience they treat premiere customers like crap because they are essentially normal customers getting a substantial amount off their bill.

It is a Premier account, I get 21% off through my parent company but it's not a business account. My company uses Sprint for business.

But everytime I call CS I automatically get transferred to business care. I could be that there are business accts in the company on the same FAN acct. I've never thought about it that way but it's such a huge company that it may be possible. I always though all Premier accts always were sent to BC.

Can you elaborate? How does a Premier customer order directly from Apple? It's not possible considering Premier accounts are required to order form the ATT Premier Site for iPhones.

I can only speak from my personal experience, YMMV, the discount is only for the service not for the purchase of the iPhone. If the discount applied to the iPhone purchase then I would see the requirement to purchase it through AT&T Premier.

It's definitely possible. As a premier customer you can still order from apple.com. You checkout just like a regular AT&T account holder would, at apple.com.
