Hi

I'm running istat pro in my dashboard.

There is a section for checking your battery status.
Percentage charged.
Cycles.
Status.
etc.

There is one that says Battery Health: 87%

What is this referring to?

battery health refers to the your battery's current capacity compared to its original i believe.
hope it helps

Holy Crap!

My battery is only a couple of months old.
I've only done 27 recharges.

Will it help if I calibrate the battery?

I think calibrating will help, have you never done so earlier?

At one point mine was saying 95%, but now it's back to 99% and I calibrate every 3-4 weeks or so.

I calibrated it when I got it - and have run it down completely a couple of times since.

Like I said, its a only a few months old.
(my old battery fell into the recall category and had it swapped out - so I guess I got it in Sept or Oct)

and also battery health greatly varies... sometimes one day it will be like 89% and after new recharge 94%
but as a general rule of thumb, calibrating every month or so is good ;)

i personally have a 7 months old mac and 65 cycles and its still holding 94% of its charge so im content with that

Mines at 100%! But my old MB was 85% when I got it, and the MB before that was 94%. I just got a really good one.
