what is best for me? (messenger)

Hello, I have a question. Im on an imac g3 400mhz and im using msn messenger 7. Is there a better messenger i can use, perferably one thats not slow, and has offline messageing and maybe some voice clip or audio calling. mosty offline messages. What messenger should i use?

What MacOS are you running?

I must admit I'm one of the few Luddites who doesn't IM much, but I think
you can use AIM, Yahoo, iChat, Adium, . . . However, I have no knowledge
about performance issues with any of these. My guess is your CPU is
pretty slow in terms of what is needed to have a "good" experience.

I trust other experts will chime in and correct me, and give you a better
answer.

im running tiger, all updated and what not. I still want the msn service but just a diferent client

Hey buddy. Take a look at aMSN for Mac. You might also enjoy Adium with is what I use. Adium allows you to use multiple services, aim, msn, google, Facebook,etc.

I use aMSN. It supports a lot of features that other applications seem to always leave out, like offline messaging, and ink drawings (if you install a plugin).

You might want to browse through the skins though. It's a pretty ugly looking program.
