What is the best free screencapture tool for OSX to capture video?

I'm looking to have the ability to capture video of a certain part of the screen.

What Mac OS X version do you use?
QT X in 10.6 won't let you select a portion of the screen, QT X in 10.7 will though.

I'm currently on 10.6

Guess I need to accelerate my upgrade to 10.7.

Any other tool available until I upgrade?

Not for free to my knowledge.

If you want to spend (IIRC) 50 bucks, you might have a look into iShow you or Camtasia et al.
