Ok Does anyone use any Mac program to capture videos on the web that could be flash or other forms of video? If so what are you using? I have tried Snapz Pro and wonder if there is anything like this out on the market? Let me hear from you?

For YouTube I use a downloader/viewer named MacTubes. Pretty slick app, you can download YouTube videos in FLV, MP4, or HD.

ScreenFlow.

It doesn't download the videos or anything, but you can select any portion of your screen and record it. I've done it for a few things on Hulu. Works pretty well.

I just discovered RealPlayer Downloader, its part of the package of RealPlayer 11 package, but, you can use it as a stand alone application

It's really easy. All you do is click the Icon, click download, then click show folder with file

REALLY easy

As screen recording flash videos might be a little bit choppy sometimes, you can also use Video DownloadHelper, an add-on for Firefox, or you use the Activity window in Safari and double-click on the .flv file (almost always the biggest file in there), which is then downloaded to your Downloads folder.

software apps for downloading video from the web

Up until a few days ago, I was using TubeTv, but for some reason it just stopped working. I've done some surfing to see if anyone else is experiencing the same and people are. I'm not sure what happened, but it was a cool program for downloading YOUTUBE content only, really cool.
