Hey,

I just found a strange mounted drive in Disk Utility, it is named decrytptedFile.dmg and seems to contain a Flash Player Installer.

Did a quick search on google and some seem to say it is a a file that might have been left after a Flash Player update and some others say it is possibly the Flashback malware.

I didn't update flash player recently and I often go in Disk utility, so I would have noticed before today.

Anyone here knows better than me?

Thanks!

I think this is a file from the Flash Player plugin autoupdate mechanism (updates the Flash Player plugin in the background). Encrypted & cryptographically signed software updates ensure, that your computer receives only updates from authorized providers.

Btw, all updates/full apps from the Mac App Store (MAS) are also encrypted & signed.
