So use Media link and PS3 media server fine for wifi streaming and can press triangle to copy files/folders.

However I have 120gb to pay with and it takes ages over wifi. How do I copy using wired connection? Have ethernet between ps3 and macbook to no avail. Router is in another room.

I cant use my ext HDD as its OSX journalled for timemachine. Nothing happened when plugged into ps3.

Am I missing something?

external HD plugged into a ps3 needs windows formatting on the disc, you could try partitioning the drive to see if that work, failing that, burn to disc and do it the hard way ;)

Thanks. But not sure can face burning 120 gbs worth of stuff....

Hdd is nearly all needed for tm.

Can't believe there is no solution for mac n ps3 users...

alternatively you could take the HD out of the ps3 and hook it up to ya Mac and move stuff that way, might take a while but obviously be a lot quicker then dvds

I have a link going in the "Digital Video" section of these forums with the same question, seems pretty easy once you figure it out... look there.
