I was wondering this myself. It's probably not coming out until 3.0 is officially introduced.

anyone have any idea? it has been soo quiet about this for the iphone

well thats because of the iphones nature. maps on the iphone is an apple app so you will have to wait for apple to release a whole new software update that adds latitude to maps.

on other mobile platforms latitude is part of google maps that is provided by google so you can just go out and download the new version. i feel confident that latitude for the iphone is ready to go, basically you just have to wait for apple.
