It's just turned into something that is so wonky. Sometimes it works fine, but at least once per day, it just decides to be incredibly slow and won't load websites without restarting the app. I often also get the "This connection is not secure" website warning after waiting a long time for a website to load, even though the website in question does in fact use https and is completely secure.

It's not an issue with my internet connection, since everything else works fine and I've done speed tests. My iPad is an M1 2022 iPad Air, and I've cleared my cache and done the typical troubleshooting to no effect. I've also turned off the Apple Ads privacy setting that others have reported affects Safari and that hasn't helped. Judging by a Google search, this isn't only affecting me and I can't imagine how Apple can make Safari work perfectly on Mac or iOS, but not on iPadOS.
