I just recently purchase an rMbp and everything seems to be working fine but now I keep getting this error message when I'm just surfing the web or reading my email.

could be a kernal panic which can be caused by all kinds of things its only a problem if it continues to happen

That's a kernel panic. Are you using Google Chrome?

Which version of Chrome, at present only Chrome Carney plays well with Retina

thats most likey the issue, ive seen a few threads on Chrome not playing well with the rMBP

It probably is Chrome. But to be safe just use Safari for a while and if the panics continue, you know there'e some other issue with your machine.

As others have stated, most likely Chrome is causing it.
