I own a brand new IMac. I have not been able to d/l my movies from my Sony memory stick via a card reader except for one time. This clearly shows it can be done but I am unfamiliar with Mac and just can't figure this out. I assume I must be either in Iphoto or IMovie to transfer the movie from the stick to the Imac. Last night I got several windows telling me the format was incompatible. PLEASE HELP!!

iMovie 3 is a really old version of iMovie. So your camera's documentation is out of date.
Have you tried just hooking your camera directly up to your mac with the memory card in it and running iMovie?

I Would Think Using A Memory Card Reader Would Work Better
Than using a direct connection wiouldn't it? Any idea WHERE the Dynex card reader icon would be on my IMAC? In Downloads? In applications? I am so new to this it's driving me CRAZY.
