While I greatly appreciate all the work that goes into jailbreaking and am currently jailbroken on my iPhone 4 and my original iPad 1 (sold to buy the iPad 2), I don't have any clue how any of this is actually done.

Seeing that iOS5 has been jailbroken already it got me wondering what is it about the iPad 2 that we haven't seen a public jailbreak yet? Is it something hardware related that's different than the iPad 1?

I'm not complaining or saying that I shouldn't have bought an iPad 2 knowing it might not be jailbroken because I still love it, but damn I miss my jailbroken iPad! :D

I think it's the new A5 chip which is taking a long time. But, the good news is after the A5 chip has been 'prepared' to be jailbroken, then any other A5 chip iDevices in the future can be jailbroken faster, like (presumably) the iPod Touch 5 and iPhone 5
