What is ~/Library/Phones/ for?

Simple question... what is the "Phones" folder for in my User Library?

The folder is empty, but presumably not so for others... is it BlueTooth or iSync phone profiles or something?

Mine contains a single folder for my T610 (added as a Bluetooth device). The folder is called <phone name>.phone and has a custom icon (it's the same on iSync shows for this phone). The folder contains a single file called Info.plist. The plist file contains details about the phone (Bluetooth address, manufacturer and so on).
