Love is patient; love is kind. Love believes all things, hopes for all things, endures all things. Love is not rude, arrogant, or proud. It does not insist on its own way. Love is the most spiritual, and powerful, gift in the universe. Love is eternal:)

I think there are two types of love. There is affectionate love, which is temporary and then theres a more consensual long lasting love. Affectionate love is when somebody your close to (your gf, sig. other) touches you in certain ways or does things that you like and you feel an aurora to it. It goes deep in the unconscious and what not. Long lasting consensual love is more like an understanding that you both love each other no matter what, through thick and thin.

Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

That being said, love also enjoys draining the wallet a couple times a year.
 
Conscientious and adequate assessment of another's needs and taking the necessary measures to meet those needs without regard of selfish motive or ambition.
