I'm not exactly sure what the Made for You section is... It's empty on my iPhone, iPad, & Mac. I've used Apple Music since day 1.

I do see recommended albums, playlists, etc. as well as the weekly "For You" mix playlists and "For You" stations in the Home tab.

Why is this section blank, what am I missing??

Running latest iOS & macOS (not beta)

On my iPhone it’s a collection of playlists. It’s the one to the right of your blank space. Click on one of the playlists and maybe the blank space populates with something. I don’t have my Mac with me now to test.

I do play the Favorites Mix, Get Up Mix, etc often but they don't show in the "For You" section. iPhone/Mac it's blank on all so it doesn't seem to be a device issue.

This is a different "Made for You" section. The "Made for You" section on the Home page shows all various playlists generated by Apple.

The ones you add to your Library will show up in the "Made for You" section in your Library (you may need to enable this section if it's hidden). Basically, it's a collection of the ones you like (added to your Library) so that you don't have to go hunting for them on the Home page. (Favoriting a playlist will also add it to your Library.)

Here's an example where I added the "Favorites Mix" playlist to my Library.

Thank you! I think I understand now. If I add any of these Apple created "Made For You" playlists to my library, they will show up under the "Made For You" section. But if I add other Apple created playlists, they show under playlists section. Is that correct?

I've been using iTunes since version 2.0, I use the Music app basically as two completely different apps. I have my own personal library I've curated for decades, and I use Apple Music to listen to music not in my library or Apple's playlists. I never add any Apple Music files/playlists to my library and keep them separate in fear of things getting messy.

That said, it sounds like I can safely add Apple Music playlists without the files integrating into my library as long as I turn off the "Add songs to Library..." options. Is that correct?
