What is my iPhone 4s doing?

Charged my iPhone fully overnight to reset the usage counters
- After 9 hours at work I have used 38mins
- After 6 hours at home my usage goes up to 2hours 19mins without me touching my phone
- Turned WiFi off, overnight for 9 hours my usage has only gone to 2hours 30mins

So what is my iPhone doing when in range of my home WiFi?

My iMac was mostly in sleep mode and iTunes not running. My iPhone is set to backup to the computer, not iCloud.

I have all the mobile data usage options set to on. Etc push email, store settings etc.

My usage and battery drain is fine with I'm not in range of my home WiFi
