I shouldn't have anywhere near this full of a drive. I have Steam on it with 13GB of games outside of that it's just a few documents. What is "Other Volumes"? I thought maybe it was a media folder I'd left on here but all my media has been removed. Any programs that can break this down for me?

The Data volume is all of your stuff. Macintosh HD, in the first post, is the operating system.

Here is my guess about what you’re seeing:

Time machine keeps recent snapshots for a limited time (maybe 24 hours, I’m not sure). If you had recently deleted your media files, they still exist in the old snapshots, and they still take up space, even though they are not visible in finder. The space will be freed up when the associated snapshot is automatically deleted.

Re: program to scan where eating storage: I've used Omni Disksweeper for years now. Gets the job done, though maybe not the most pretty app out there.

Re: "Other": it changes, depending on what APFS volume you have selected, as generally, all APFS data is shared storage. If you have the OS volume selected, Other will be the data volume, if Data selected, Other will be the OS volume.

What does :apple: > About This Mac > Storage say?

you can also run
Code:
diskutil list
from the terminal. That will show the space that is used by each volume on your drive (and it will show all of them)
