What is "other"?

Is that like the iPod OS?

It is the iPod OS and song info, notes etc

I believe it is the iPod's OS, contacts, calendars, album art, maybe lyrics, any files you put on in disk use mode, pictures transfered from iPhoto.

In your case I would bet it is mostly album art.
