Hey guys, I'd love a few of the features of OS4 on my original iPhone - especially folders. Has anyone figured out how to install OS4 on the 2G? What other than jailbreaking 3.1.3 is possible on the 2G? I've downgraded to this for now from my 3GS until the Verizon iPhone comes out (crossing fingers).

Thanks guys!

You're out of luck. Apple has said that iOS 4 is not supported on the original iPhone. Even the 3G has limited implementation of iOS 4's improvements.

There are some jailbreak programs and hacks that can make 3.1.3 look and act like 4.X. For folders, take a look at Categories and SBCategories. Together they work out very well.

But didn't someone hack those features to work on the 3G? Would there be an equivalent hack to allow OS4 to work on the 2G?
