Hi,

In Activity Monitor, I see that there is a process called "corespotlightd." I am wondering if this is a legitimate process. I can't find information about it in the internet, which is a bit suspicious. I am running 10.13.6 in a MBP 2015.

Thanks!

Yup. It’s what allows OSX to search within apps/programs.

Great, thanks! It was kind of strange not to find much information about the process online. For all other processes, you just gooogle the name and there is a lot of information. Not for this one.
