Recently, I've been having my iPad hijacked by some site called Securebean.com. It sends me to some site that's obviously spam.

I take it that this is some kind of malware. How do I get rid of this?

It's an iPad3 running the latest release of IOS8.

Thanks.

I'm sure that someone will come along who knows more about stuff like this, but I would think that if you wiped your device and then set it up as a new device - don't use any of your backups because they could be hosed - then you'd have yourself a factory fresh device. A big PITA but not so bad as the one you're already experiencing.

See what others have to say since my way is pretty labor intensive.

I have no idea what Securebean is but it doesn't sound like a good thing.

What are you doing (what app are you in) when you get sent there?
Safari. Reading the NY Post about the Yanks signing Headley. But it's happened elsewhere, too.

I've cleared cache and cookies, but the doesn't help. And it doesn't happen every single time I go to that article. It's kind of sporadic. But it's odd. I'm reading the article, not touching the screen, and after a while, boom, it clicks over to that site. Kind of like some bad Safari magic.

No way am I going to wipe my iPad, though.
