What is that little rectangle on the white iPhone?

Ambient light/proximity sensors. Like on every other iPhone. They're just visible on the white one since the sensors aren't pure white.
Looks like they had to move the sensors because of where the camera is. On the black one, they are hidden by the tint of the glass just like the sensors on the previous phones. The couldn't do that with the white one, so it appears they had to make a grill in the glass for it.
