So I'm looking to get an Airplay Speaker for the house, only my requirements seems very unique as I haven't found a speaker yet.
I would like an Airplay Speaker with an Ethernet port, so that it reduces the chance of drop outs.
It doesn't need to be portable.
It should have buttons to preset radio stations (internet or DAB) as well, for ease of use for the family who aren't as smart as myself
It ideally would have Bluetooth built in, so that my Nexus 5 can use it, however there are bluetooth receivers that can do the same thing, but using an extra power socket.
It needs to be powerful enough to hear it in the garden, about 50 feet away.
Really, this means that I could have a bluetooth speaker, without Airplay, as there will be an Apple Airport Express close by that I could hook up.
Finally, my budget is less than £350, so no Bang and Olufsen £800 recommendations please.
The other option is Sonos, however i would prefer Airplay as there will be multiple Apple TVs in the house and most of the devices are Apple. Furthermore, it would be better to be able to control the audio in the app, rather than a control app à la Sonos.
(Should this thread go in the buyer help thread?)
