It seems oled screens burn through battery rather quickly depending on the brightness level compared to lcd.

Optimal varies with everyone. . . .

You need to turn you brightness down until you can't stand it anymore and you are there. My MAX last all day and I never have to worry about the battery.

How long is yours lasting?

From looking at you past started threads you are living on your phone. If so just plan to charge every once in a while.

I lose about 2% of battery life in a span of 8 minutes with brightness set to around 25%. I have no apps running in the background either.

I’m either on the home screen or just browsing the web. I don’t have any apps running in the background. I think the oled screen isn’t battery efficient.

i think its diminishing returns, brightness vs battery above 50-60%

less than 50% is diminishing too visibility vs battery,

but I could be wrong!

also probably depends on the inherent panel brightness, which varies.
