What is the best email provider to use with Mail?

I am currently using msn (hotmail) as my email provider and I am having nothing but problems, sometimes I can send emails most of the time I can't. I am using tiger and my wife has leopard and neither work properly. I am ready to change email provider, what (free) provider works best with mail app.

If you're noticing that you're having trouble sending emails from specific networks then it might be a setting issue rather than a particular provider issue. Some networks (ISPs) will not allow you to send email out on anything but their own SMTP server, no matter who hosts your account.

Gmail is good.

Gmail's the best.

Plus - Leopard will set a Gmail account up automatically, so you don't have to worry about server settings. (But it's not that hard in Tiger.)
