As title states, I just bought my i5 two days ago from AT&T...what options do i still have as far as purchasing insurance? I know I have 13 more days to decide with AT&T, but not sure I want to go with them. What other options do I have and for how long? Thanks in advance.

I think AT&T's insurance is very overpriced for what you get. I'd go with Applecare + which extends the warranty and support to 2 years. It also allows you to swap out the phone due to accidental damage twice with a $50 deductible. If the hardware breaks without accidental damage, you don't have to pay the deductible at all.

The only thing Applecare+ lacks is that you aren't covered in the case of loss or theft.

Thanks!...that's what I ended up going with. I'm not sure how you can beat that deal. From everything I have read, Apple seems to be awesome to deal with if/when you have a problem.

tell you what I have been fixing iphones since 2007. the best insurance is with your home owners policy hands down!! with state farm it is $35 per year per device. I have several customers that have this policy. I charge them for the repair and give them a receipt and they take it to state farm and get 100% of the repair money back! other companies do this as well I just dont know the charge. this works for lost/stolen, broken from being dropped, etc. but if the ringer stops working thats on you.

State Farm no longer offers cell phone insurance. I called & asked and googled it to make sure I wasn't getting bad info.
