I am looking to buy a new mac (desktop or laptop, doesnt matter). I want maximum specs for a budget of £1800. I design and develop websites and i also like to play FPS.

If having a desktop or laptop doesn't matter to you and your budget is £1800 then definitely go for an iMac. You can easily get a prett well specked out model with that money.

I agree with the above. You should get one of the new iMacs ( if possible, wait for the 27" model that can be ordered as of December ).

You could get a decent PC rig for £900/1000 (for your FPS & work requirements) and spend the rest on a MBA when on the road
