Well I've actually only got a budget of 700, but my company is willing to cover me for half of the cost.

Looking for a 4K display with not much requirements other than it being worth its value and hopefully IPS (if IPS and a high end TN have a significant difference). It has to be compatible with the 15" 2013 rMBP. I saw a few models on Apple's help document but I was wondering if there were lesser known models which have been tested to work. Thanks!

Also has anyone tested the 28" TN panel by dell?

Also welcome are suggestions for me to use the budget for other accessories to enjoy with the new display.

I just bought the 28" UHD Samsung 4K at Best Buy. It is pretty much plug and play on the MacBook Pro 15" with OS 10.9.3.

It was $699.
