Hey,

Inew iphone. still haven't opened it.

i want the activation process to go well....

i have an att phone already...

-do i put my old phone's sim card n my new phone?

-what information do i need? social security number of the person on my att account? it is different from my own social security number...

thanks,
r.

Nope, just hook your iphone to itunes 7.3 (make sure you upgrade) and follow the directions on the screen.

They will need your SSN and that's about it :)

If your an existing customer, all you need is the last four of the social number. There is no credit check for existing customers. So besides that, the other into you need is the cell number and billing zip.

Yeah keep the iphone's sim card in the iphone. Just log onto itunes, connect the phone, and say replace an existing phone or whatever.

Note though - once the iphone is activated, if you ever needed to use your old phone, you could take the iphone's sim card out and put it in the old one (good if you need warranty repair or something).
