what is the best way to explore mac partition in XP

i would like it to be free if possible

I'm interested in this topic too. I recently tried MacDrive, but didn't like it. You have to start up the program every time and browse your Mac partition through the application. I wanted something more seemless than that. Is there a way to 'teach' Windows to read a Mac OS Extended partition like you can with the NTFS plugin for Leopard?

I guess my macdrive is different. It boots up in the background when windows starts, and you click on the drive (partition) just like you would click on any usb drive, or the c drive for that matter to browse. What's not to like??
