What is the best way to Upgrade to Snow Leopard?

I have three other older Mac Pros running Leopard that I am going to re purpose,should I just buy the Snow Leopard Upgrade disk or should I buy the full version and do a clean install?

The Upgrade Disk will allow you a clean install, even one without Leopard on the machine present.

My recommendation is to make sure you have your system backed up then reformat/install Snow Leopard. That way you start off with a clean slate
