I am considering an Elgato or other ??? brand product to be able to watch Cable TV on my Mac... I plan to buy a new Mac mini to use with it. I will be using a 24" LED ACD (for computer use) and another display (maybe cheapie Dell) with the Mac mini for sole purpose of the TV viewing. The 24" LED ACD will be primarily used with my MBA. The Mac mini will be primarily used as a media server and to watch TV on second display connected to the Mac mini.
Can anyone give me advice please on all things I should consider for this setup???
I noticed two current Elgato products and some older ones on Amazon. I also noticed a Pinnacle for Mac TV product for only $69... can anyone tell me the pros and cons of any that you have personally used? I want the one that just works, AND also works well for recording like a Tivo Season Pass type thing.
