iPod What is the biggest HD I can put in iPod Mini?

Hi guys

I got a blue 6gb mini whose HD died. Since these HD are cheaper than buying a new or refurb ipod I want to give it a try at fixing it.

While I was thinking about that I saw that these drive come in sizes up to 80gb, what is the biggest capacity I can put in the mini and still have it work?

The biggest mini I've heard about is this 16GB one (http://geektechnique.org/projectlab/759/the-ipod-mini-remastered-now-with-16gb).

Do they really make 80GB harddrives that will fit into a mini?

That is kind of what I am asking... I thought the minis took a 1.8" drive. But I think I am wrong on that.

I think it would be 16GB since if I remember correctly Minis actually used Hitachi Microdrives which are smaller than 1.8" drives.

There may be bigger CF cards than 16GB but I'm sure they are pricey.
