I'm reading a news that Sony made a 48Mp sensor, and because of the long-standing partnership with Apple, there's a chance this sensor will occupy some iPhone in the future. I did not know that Apple used sensors from Sony. Does it proceed? Are the sensors of the iPhone X from Sony?

Apple has been using Sony sensors for front and back cameras since iPhone 4s.

Prior to that, Apple used OmniVision and Micron.

I'd be surprised if the 48M detector isn't for a full-frame or APSC sized camera detector. Using the current detector size of the iphone the noise would be incredible with such a small size.

I’m assuming you’re referring to the 48 MP sensor in your post based off this article:

It's Sony IMX 378
Sony's new imx 400 and 576 are reserved exclusive for Sony's phones
