hey guys i currently own a 3g iphone, and im opening a family plan tomorrow with att. i was wondering if i did not want to pay the $30 a month internet fee is there any other way to get data on your iphone?

i've heard stories of people paying the 2g price for edge service, and i've heard that people used internet plans on other phones and then somehow got it to work on their iphone without being charged? i was just wondering...
