At home I use Mac Mail with an optonline.net account from Optimum. My iPhone 6s e-mail synced to this account shows ONLY the latest two weeks' worth of e-mail. Unlike with some other e-mail providers (like Outlook), an Optonline.net account (which I created under "Other") does NOT have the Mail Days to Sync option. I'd like to be able to access more e-mails. (All e-mails are accessible when I'm viewing my Mac Mail inbox.)
When I contacted Optimum customer service, the clueless person "helping" me told me that this was a Mac problem. The Mac people say it has to do with Optimum, so there was nothing they could do to help. I tend to believe that (that the problem stems from Optimum), as I'm also limited to viewing the same two weeks' worth of e-mails in my web mail.
I'm posting this to see if anyone else had/has the same problem with limited e-mail access with their iPhone Optimum account and whether they have learned (a) how to fix the problem OR (b) that it is a default on Optimum's end that cannot be changed. And…is this something that can somehow be corrected through Mac Mail preferences/settings? If so, how?
Thank you!
