Hello.

I am thinking of getting a refurbished iMac 27" directly from the Apple Store.

Now that they are selling both generations. can someone explain the main differences between the 2012 and 2013 models?

Thanx in advance

Look at the system specifications and compare yourself, that is why Apple posts them.

I appreciate your smarts, but I would like to get answers from actual users and not just look at specs and numbers.

Have a good Sunday.

Just wondering if there are any more opinions about this?
How much better is the 2013 iMac when compared to 2012 iMac?

Since there are refurbished 2013's popping up at the Apple Store, I am considering getting one.

I got a 2012 iMac about a week before the 2013 ones came out. From what I can tell from using 2013 models in an Apple store, the 2012 iMac doesn't seem any slower. :)

It actually depends on the configuration you're planning on getting and what you're using the iMac for. If you are getting an iMac with an SSD or Fusion drive, definitely go for the 2013. If you use WiFi on your iMac, consider the 2013 to have the faster WiFi available on it.
